But the journey's end was only an illusion. The Knight in Shining Armor conferred with the World-Wide Wizard, only to discover that much of the magic was too ancient and new powers were needed. Once more the wise Old Woman gathered together new travelers for the journey, for most of the original minions were tired and had moved on to other kingdoms. Only the Wise Seer remained to help the Old Woman and the Knight in Shining Armor. She enlisted the aid of the Chronicler of Zimmer, the Ancient Scribe, and the Knight's Young Apprentice. Each had their own mission to undertake to insure the completion of the Book of Remembering.

The Chronicler of Zimmer, a scholar in her own right, worked hard to continue and expand on the work of the Protector of Precious Images. She took the Old Woman's notes on Petra, added to them, and brought them to life with her magic powers. The Ancient Scribe read and read and read, using her special magic to make clear what those who had gone before sought to impart. And the Knight's Young Apprentice served at the beck and call of both the Wise Seer and the Knight in Shining Armour as they wove their magic into the Wizard's greater world.

At about the same time, Young Scholar Three was listening to the Old Woman tell her stories and asked if she could assist the Chronicler of Zimmer by looking anew at some of the Petra images. Of course, she was welcomed, and her keen eye was put immediately to work.

Eventually, they too, left the Wise Woman to wander home, to follow other dreamers.
