About James Christensen

ECLIPSE Image Number 01800003

James Christensen is one of the world’s finest fantasy artists whose work has been described as depicting “the land a little left of reality.” His whimsical images are inspired by traditional myths, legends, and other imaginative tales and are presented to viewers with an inventive humor that is absolutely convincing and believable. His work is available as limited edition fine art prints, as porcelain sculptures, and in books. His own book, A Journey of the Imagination: The Art of James Christensen , published in 1994 is a delightful introduction to his work which has been distributed by The Greenwich Workshop since 1985. He retired after twenty years as a professor of art at Brigham Young University to devote full time to his art.
