Rescue at Sea – Victims Unaware

Of the dozen illustrations included here, this is the only one that introduces additional characters. Here again the “wise” men seem to be totally unaware of the fact that they are already sitting in water and of their obvious impending fate. They are also unaware of their rescuers, probably three “unwise” men who at least know enough not to sink in the sea. Soft rosy tones with shades of blue provide a suitable background for this depiction of the old noodle tale.
