Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star

A Starlit Cat - Even Animals Wonder About That Light in the Night Sky

ECLIPSE Image Number 00770002

Many of the elements, which are found in the previous illustration can also be seen in this image. The cat is gazing out into a dark sky in which one star illuminates the heavens. Once again, the star has its own powerful identity. The cat is drawn to the glow of the star, which in turn shines its light upon the cat. Its gaze could be interpreted as one of awe and reverence for an eternal power. The star is the sole source of energy for the illustration. Some Christians might see the entire illustration as a religious symbol with the framing of the window panes creating a cross, bringing to mind the luminous star that identified the birth of Christ. For others, the star is a simply a light in the darkness which, in itself, may be symbolic of peace and hope. Once again, bows and curtains frame the illustration lending a sense of peace, calm and serenity.
