A Room Full of Wishes - What Are These Children Thinking As They Look Up To the Star?

ECLIPSE Image Number 02050000

Mother and children at the window of the bedroom symbolizes the mother’s wish for safety, security and serenity for her children in the nighttime. The star, which is in the sky, serves as a nightlight, which will provide comfort for the children. The family is looking into the night sky with a feeling of contentment and tranquility, an almost pastoral glow over them and their surroundings. The illustration depicts a strong mother/child connection, which is as eternal as the star upon which they are gazing. The one star in the sky takes on an almost mystical quality in the otherwise dark heavens. The mother and her children stand in loving and pensive comfort as they stare into the night sky. The illustration is feminine and romantic in nature with its lattice window frame, floral curtains trimmed in lace, and the use of delicate pastel shades of pink and blue. The use of bows as adornments adds to the feminine influence in the illustration.
