Two Legs Sat Upon Three Legs

Soft and Gentle - Color and Line Work to Produce a Calm, Pleasant Illustration

ECLIPSE Image Number 02880000

There is a gentle feel combined with a level of tension to this illustration, something of a snapshot in time. Soft colors provide a calm, soothing effect while the sharp lines of ceiling and window create the alternative mood. The man seems harmless and non-intimidating. The proper nature of his clothing and the expression on his face make him appear unthreatening. Although the dog looks like he is quite focused on the meal, he seems to be waiting his turn or, perhaps, considering what his chances are in going for it.
