The Queen of Hearts

Busy Mother – Peeping Knave

ECLIPSE Image Number 00060007

Tudor’s title character is also a “queen” of her own kitchen, seen here preparing tarts with her two young children looking on. Only the cat seems aware of the knave (identified by his distinctive hat) outside the window waiting for the opportunity to satisfy his yen for sweets. Soft, warm colors dominate this domestic scene. Youngsters may enjoy searching for the hearts in this image.
