Little Bo Peep

Beautiful Bo – Dressed for the Ball

ECLIPSE Image Number 00540001

This is a beautiful Bo holding a shepherd’s staff adorned with ribbon and bells, calling to her flock. She has very delicate features; in fact, she doesn’t have the hands or the attire of a young woman who works on a farm or with animals or is even outside for much of the day. She’s wearing a very elaborate dress and jacket and what appear to be high laced slippers, not exactly sheep-tending clothing. The sheep are in the background of the illustration grazing, but not hiding from her. Bo is in the front of the illustration with her back to the flock. Either she is unaware that they are just behind her or she is just looking away toward something better. Notice how the images of the sheep seem to morph into clouds.
