Ahmed and the Lost Goats – Where Can They Be?

ECLIPSE Image Number 01200001

Although this African rhyme about Ahmed is similar to the Bo-peep rhyme, the character is male, and he has lost his goats rather than sheep. This image shows Ahmed sitting pensively on a rock with his head in his hand as if trying to imagine where those goats might be. He seems to be staring directly at the viewers with a quizzical look as if we might be able to help him with his dilemma. The warm colors reflect the heat of the African sun.
