I Had a Little Nut Tree

Royal Giant – Mini-Tree

ECLIPSE Image Number 00620003

This illustration is very different from the others for the rhyme. The nut tree with its silver nutmeg and golden pear is there, but who is that giant bending over the tree? Could that be “the king of Spain’s daughter” in that most unflattering pose? Is she really so big or is the tree so small?
