Georgie Porgie, Puddin’ and Pie

You've Got To Be Kidding! - No Kiss For You, Buddy!

ECLIPSE Image Number 01050003

The expression on the face of the girl pulling away from Georgie as he tries to kiss her is priceless. She is obviously annoyed and thinks he has some nerve, but she is not frightened. This is a young woman clearly in command of the situation. The girl on the opposite end of the seesaw appears more upset than she is, perhaps because she is stranded at the top of the seesaw. A third girl stands by wearing a baseball cap, a baseball mitt, and holding a bat seems to be amused. Her shadow serves as a connection between her and the title character who also wears a baseball cap. Unlike the rhyme, none of the girls are crying. The potential victim seems more angry than distressed, and she is certainly not crying. The exaggerated facial features and the cheerful colors convey a great deal of humor.
