Monday's Child is Fair of Face

Day By Day - Six Children and a Cherub.

ECLIPSE Image Number 00130007

These black and white drawings are placed on a calendar to emphasize that the characters correspond to the days of the week. Four girls and two boys represent most of the week, but a cherub with wings, a halo, and a harp is pictured for the Sabbath day. Monday's, Tuesday's, and Friday's children, plus the cherub face out toward the viewer while Thursday's traveler stands sideways looking off to the distant mountains, and the children representing woe and work are seen from behind as if they don't wish to face others.
