Humpty Dumpty

Is Humpty Dumpty a Sultan? Will the Fates Dare to Let This Humpty Fall from His Almost Invisible Wall?

ECLIPSE Image Number 00200000

The expression on this Humpty Dumpty’s face is that of a powerful and domineering man who does exactly what he pleases. He is enjoying his pipe and demonstrates his control over the world by blowing near-perfect smoke rings. He certainly does not believe that he will ever need anyone to put him together again. The lines of the pipe and the text surrounding him clearly place him at the center of his world.
